About Sunshine Kennel
We live in the southeast portion of Wisconsin and hunting and dogs are a big part of our life. We typically start training in the spring for hunt tests held during the summer. The fall and winter months are spent hunting with our dogs. We regularly hunt pheasant, grouse, woodcock, dove and waterfowl. We also have a Beagle and we are active members of a local beagle club. We enjoy participating in Beagle field trials as well as rabbit hunting. Ellie handles Beagle in field trials as part of the AKC Junior Handler program.
We named Sunshine Kennel after our family farm. Our Great Grandfather, Damas Landreville, immigrated from Crabree, Quebec to the Red River Valley of northwest Minnesota in the early 1900’s and purchased land from relatives. In 1909 he registered the land as Sunshine Farm. The farm was passed down to Wade’s Grandfather Arthur Landreville and later to Wade’s father and uncle who own it today. The Landreville family originated in France and immigrated to Quebec in the 1600’s.
